Our story
Who We Are
Karatu Expedition Charity is a Community Based Organization (CBO) based in Bomani Cluster, Karatu Ward, Karatu District, in Tanzania's Arusha Region.
We work directly with women, youth, school-going children, widows, vulnerable families and young people leaving orphan care as they transition into independent adulthood. Our work connects education, community health, environmental protection and economic empowerment, because the challenges families face are connected too.
Mission
To uplift impoverished women, youth, school-going children, widows and orphaned youth transitioning into adulthood through strategic interventions in education, health, environmental protection and economic empowerment.
Vision
A dignified, self-reliant and socio-economically stable society within Karatu District where vulnerable families have access to basic human needs and opportunities.
